1997 Rover Mini Cooper S 5 Speed in super rare Amaranth purple with grey full leather interior. This is a very rare, special and super collectable Mini. Supplied new by John Cooper Garages and very original. It still has its factory paint after 29 years and it is in immaculate condition. The underside is all in ‘time warp’ condition as it was wax oiled from new. It was collected by its first owner of 22 years and maintained by him as he didn’t trust any garage to work on the car. It was then sold to its 2nd owner in 2019 and has lived in a Carcoon air-chamber until 2025. It has covered just 24300 miles from new. The interior has the John Cooper signed door steps, signed door furniture, signed 5 speed gear knob and signed John Cooper / Mota Lita steering wheel. It has immaculate red carpets with the factory red over mats. The original walnut dashboard is all in immaculate condition and it has the additional walnut door capping’s and pull handle. Due to always being garaged the walnut trim has no fading or discolouration. Being a Cooper S it has been upgraded to 85 BHP, plus has a close ration 5 speed gearbox. The acceleration gain by having 5 gears and the 85 bhp makes it a great mini to drive. The cost of a 5 speed gearbox was around £2000 so it is rarely seen. In 2025 it had 4 new Yokohama tyres. I have a Cooper S certificate personally signed and numbered by John Cooper as well as the original book pack as presented when new.  I also have pictures of it being handed over when new by John Cooper himself!
