1974 Morris 850 cc Mini Van. This very special Mini Van is one of two known original Post Office vans which still remain. This one was first registered to the Nottingham Post Office and used for many years delivering letters and parcels. It was then painted blue and was used to collect Television licences and was then returned to its original red colour. I have a fantastic history file as this van has been in 2 magazines both with 6 page articles, and is well known in the classic commercial world. It was restored around 15 years ago by its enthusiast owner who was also a post office worker. He used to maintain the Post Office vehicles so when this was for sale he had to have it! It has been enjoyed since and driven to shows to be admired. It drives very well and is super smooth and quiet on the road with plenty of performance and feels more like a 998 cc mini to drive. It has a lot of interesting features like the Large wing mirrors and large rear bumpers which were designed specially for the Post Office vans. There are numerous warning stickers inside and red wooden Post Office boxes in the back. The rear door has an additional lock which was also a Post Office feature. The signage is all correct and it even has the tyre pressures above each wheel. The Post Office vans did not have hub caps but these could be fitted it required.

This is a very rare opportunity to buy a special piece of British history. Free delivery to your door in my curtain sided van within 200 miles of Tiverton.
