1990 Rover Mini Racing Green Limited Edition with John Cooper Garages conversion. Based on a 998 cc Mini Racing Green and converted by John Cooper Garages to give more power. It now has twin SU carburettors, performance cylinder head, 3 branch exhaust manifold and Maniflow exhaust. This kit was offered at great expense and for that reason they are very rarely seen.  I have the signed John Cooper conversion Certificate and all of the John Coper Garages promotional literature and brochures from back in 1990. The end result is a very free revving engaging mini which really makes you feel 17 again! In many ways it’s more fun to drive than the 1275 cc cars. This rare car is in fantastic condition with original bodywork and the underside is in ‘time warp’ condition. It has done 65700 miles from new, but did 39000 in the first 3 years when it was young and ever since then has lived a second car life and has been garaged. I have taken pictures of the wheel arch areas and floors as it is hard to appreciate otherwise. The interior has been upgraded to full leather seats which give more comfort and support. The lovely signed John Cooper / Mota Lita steering wheel and Cooper gear knob finish the interior. It has uprated adjustable shock absorbers with 4 new Yokohama A539 tyres with 5 mm spaces a which is what John Cooper used to call his ‘handling pack’ and it gives stronger cornering ability and a more sporty look. This rare and individual mini offers a great driving experience with a rev happy engine and smooth gearbox. The rarity should also make it a great investment.
