1992 Rover Mini Cooper S by John Cooper Garages. This very rare and collectable Mini Cooper S was converted by John Cooper Garages so to produce 77 BHP. The increased performance is due to the Cooper S ported and polished cylinder head and Janspeed exhaust. This is conversion number 0042 Si and it has the numbered plaque and personally signed John Cooper conversion certificate. It also has improved road holding due to new soft Yokohama 165 tyres and 5 mm wheel spacers. This outstanding ‘time warp’ example has covered just 3975 miles in the last 29 years and is stunning. The interior has half leather seats with red carpets. It has the signed John Cooper / Motalita steering wheel, Cooper S gear knob and alloy door furniture making it very exiting to be in. The exterior is further enhanced by other period details like the John Cooper wheel centres, Cooper S decals, Daytona petrol filler cap and classic over-riders on the bumpers. I have a nice history file from new with all of the original Rover books and John Cooper Garages brochures and price lists. I have both sets of keys and a MOT history to support the mileage. I bought the car from its first owner back in 2014 who had owned it for 22 years and sold it to its second owner who has owned it until now.
This Cooper S drives very well and feels fast, refined and very special. The steering and suspension feel tight, precise and rewarding, while the engine is free revving and very responsive.
It is very rare to find a Cooper S of this age, in this condition and on this remarkable mileage.
