1972 Austin Mini built to fast road 1310 cc specification using a new Heritage body shell. This very attractive mini has the appeal of an older tax and mot exempt mini but the piece of mind of a newer car. If you order a new Heritage body shell today painted and ready to be reassembled it will cost approximately £11000. This is just for the shell and no other parts, running gear or interior etc. The previous owner had the mini for 21 years and over this time has made the improvements and changes. It was rebuilt with its new shell in early 2000’s. It then had its new fast road 1310 engine in 2014. The engine was a 1275 cc Metro unit which was then fully rebuilt and balanced. It has a SW 5 Swiftune cam shaft and a stage 2 performance cylinder head as well as a balanced, lightened flywheel. The gearbox was also rebuilt and a new radiator and electronic ignition fitted. The brakes are 8,4 inch discs with a servo and it has braided hoses all around. The HIF 44 carb makes it easy to adjust and the engine runs very well. It is nicely geared allowing for motorway use. It has covered around 25000 miles since the new body shell and about 9000 miles on the new 1310 cc engine and gearbox. The speedo is showing 31000 miles which can’t be guaranteed. The suspension is all adjustable with quality adjustable shock absorbers, hi low adjustable height and adjustable bottom arms and radius arm brackets. The exhaust is a Maniflow system which sounds good while also being easy to live with. This mini has been used and enjoyed but due to the new Heritage shell being very well waxoiled prior to use it is in wonderful condition. The wheels and tyres have just been fitted by me and have done no miles. This is a wonderful mini which loves to be driven and offers a high quality package.
