1968 Morris Mini MK2 Fast Road Spec. This very well engineered mini has been subject to a full body and mechanical rebuild which was all completed around 10 years ago. The work was all completed by professionals and it was not a DIY project. The body has been fully restored on a rotisserie and due to it always being garaged is still in fantastic condition today. The paintwork is remarkable and it shows that the job was completed to a very high standard. It has the correct 4 vent sills and all of the panel gaps are good. The underside is all in clean, nice condition and when you lift the carpets it show a high level of finish. The engine was built by Paul Nash Racing and is a 1329 cc fast road spec and revs very freely. It has a large valve Cooper S 11 stud cylinder head, Kent 276 camshaft ,3 branch exhaust manifold and HIF 44 carburettor. It has a 3 core high performance radiator with Revotec electric cooling fan, facet fuel pump, electronic ignition and a quick shift remote gear change. The suspension is managed with a Spax coil over kit which is fully adjustable. 7.5 inch Cooper S brake discs with Green Stuff pads. The wheels are 10 by 6 inch and have matching Yokohama tyres, group 2 arches, period lights front and rear, twin petrol tanks and Cooper chrome window trims. The interior is all special order Newton Commercial brown real leather seats. These were made just for this car with matching door cards. There are 4 seat belts and a rear roll cage. It has a Motalita steering wheel, 12 volt power socket, Toad CAT 2 immobiliser, water temperature, oil pressure and rev counter all built into the original clocks. The list goes on and on and I have a box of history for the car detailing every stage. It has covered 3480 miles since completion.

The end result is a great looking period fast road car with goes as well as it looks. This is an enthusiast car and would appeal to someone who loves the raw sound of a well tuned mini. To create this car today based on a MK 2 shell would cost well over £30,000.
