1998 Rover Mini Cooper Sports LE 1 of 100 ever made for the UK market.

This mini was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Cooper’s victory in four Saloon Car Championship races in 1968. They made 50 in Brooklands green and 50 in black. They all had white roofs and mirrors and distinctive side decals and interior trim. The John Cooper Laurels, wide side strips and yellow V above the front wing make this mini stand out as something a bit special. This Brooklands green example is a ‘3 owner’ outstanding, original example which has covered just 9760 miles in the last 24 years. To my eye it has never had any paint and is immaculate. It was waxoiled from new which has kept it fully protected when out on the road. It has always been garaged and used as a weekend toy. The dark green full leather seats are immaculate and it has matching green door cards and a green gear knob. The Sports Pack wheels and arches were standard and give it a very sporty look and feel on the road. I have a thick history file including past MOT’s the original book pack and both sets of keys. It has matching Yokohama A539 tyres fitted 2 years ago as the originals were 22 years old. It drives wonderfully and it feels very special to be driving 1 of only 100 ever made Cooper Sports LE’s. The condition inside, outside and underneath is outstanding and its new owner will be amazed at the ‘time warp’ condition of this mini. It is becoming harder every year to find genuine examples like this and it is very rare to find a limited edition on 9760 miles.
