** NOW SOLD ** 1999 John Cooper Garages S Works Mini Cooper. This is one of very few Sport Pack S Works cars made in 1999 to celebrate 40 years since John Coopers cars won the Formula One World Championship. The S Works model produces a claimed 40% power increase over the standard model with a claimed top speed of 105 mph! The factory S Works cars had a standard specification which makes them unique to other S Works cars and conversions. It is very rare to find a car with this specification and one which still has all of the correct original parts. The key features other than the engine conversion are: Special turned metal dashboard with matching door capping inserts, signed John Cooper door pulls, window winders, door release handle and clutch and brake pedal covers. Alpine cd radio with special silver Goodmans speakers (very rare), Red front and rear badges, John Cooper signed door sill covers, metal wheel centres, valve caps and Cooper oil dip stick. An alloy locking fuel cap with Daytona style flip lid, clear side repeaters plus S Works side and rear decals. All of these important details are still in place and correct. The Alpine CD Radio and silver Goodman speakers are the key to a 1999 genuine S Works car as these are very hard to replicate. As part of the 90 BHP engine conversion it had a special Janspeed exhaust with a twin upswept rear pipe. This genuine Janspeed exhaust in now very rare to see and to check, it is stamped Janspeed on the rear box This example is correct in every way which makes it super special and very rare. I have only ever seen 2 others and this is the only sport pack version I have ever seen! In addition to the S Works specification it also has the optional turned metal centre console to match the dashboard. I first sold this car 10 years ago and have known it during this time. It has always been garaged and kept and appreciated as a special car and has covered just 9200 miles from new. I have the original bill of sale from John Cooper Garages, the S Works certificate signed by John Cooper, the original book pack, all past MOTs, both sets of keys, the instruction book for the special Alpine CD radio and the sales brochures from 1999. I have just removed the original tyres which had deep tread but were 20 years old and fitted 4 new Yokohama A539 tyres. The alloys are immaculate inside and out. The mini has been wax oiled underneath and is all in great original condition. It drives wonderfully and the Janspeed exhaust gives a unique sound over other copies. The number plate has always been on the car as Mr Lea was the first owner. Free delivery to your door within 200 miles of South Molton in my curtain sided van.
