1990 Rover Mini Cooper RSP in black with a white roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. The RSP (Rover Special Product) was made by John Cooper to reintroduce the mini Cooper back into production. From 1971 to 1990 the mini Cooper was not made and the only available cars were 998cc minis. John Cooper fitted a Metro 1275cc engine plus added all of the Cooper touches and the Mini Cooper was back in action and 1050 were produced for the UK market. Due to the success of this car the mini Cooper then sold for an additional 10 years until the new BMW mini was made. This has become one of the most sort after Mini Cooper models due to way it drives and that it is one of the last carburettor Coopers produced. This outstanding example has covered just 3700 miles from new. It has always been a garaged investment car and driven on special occasions. It has recently had some recommissioning as after 28 years even the low mileage cars need the key serviceable parts renewing. It has had 4 new Yokohama A539 tyres, a new Maniflow exhaust system, 4 new adjustable Spax shock absorbers, new brake discs and pads and all of the fluids changed. It is now as sharp as ever and ready for its new owner to enjoy it over the summer. This Mini gives an old style feel, much like the 60s Coopers, but is far more usable and suitable for the demanding roads of today. Most have covered big mileages and have been rebuilt so it is lovely to find such an original car. This will make a very exciting car to own and drive while also being a great long term investment.
