1981 Austin Mini Pick Up in classic Pageant blue. This is one of the very best mini pick ups remaining in the world. It was restored by Old Skool Minis in 2009 for their stand at the IMM Mini Show and was sold within 1 hour of the show opening. It was built to demonstrate their standard of workmanship and was their show piece in which to promote their business. Today it looks as good as the day they finished it and the paint finish and quality of the build is outstanding. When restored they also fitted an MG Metro 1275 cc engine with a maniflow exhaust, electronic ignition and a claimed BHP of 72. The brakes where uprated to 7.5 inch Cooper S discs and callipers. It has 10 inch Rose Petal wheels on Yokohama tyres which give a period / sporty look. Everything on the mini was professionally restored and the underside is immaculate. The interior is standard other than a recently fitted Motalita steering wheel which looks and feels nice. It is rare to see a pick up now with a rear load cover and this one has been professionally made. The original frame was powder coated and a new double duck cover was made with a clear rear window. The load area is immaculate and has been polished more than used. The mini drives wonderfully and accelerates through the gears strongly making it a very usable mini. There is a 7 page feature in Mini Magazine dated January 2018 and a copy is in the history file. It has been recently fully inspected and serviced by Mini Sport and will have a new MOT for its new owner. This is a very rare find and an opportunity to own what Mini Magazine call Pick Up Perfection. Free delivery to your door in my curtain sided van within 200 miles of Tiverton.
