1979 Austin Mini 1000 in classic Inca yellow. This mini was owned by a lady for the first 38 years and then sold to its last owner who has carried out a nut and bolt restoration to a very high standard. The bodyshell was striped and then soda blasted so to show the true condition of the shell. The shell was then rebuilt replacing any panel which had signs of corrosion with a new Heritage panel. The main panels replaced were the front wings, front panel, A panels, sills, rear valance and front floor pans. The engine has been re-bored with new pistons and the cylinder-head refurbished. The suspension and brakes are all new including all brake pipes and fuel lines. All of the ancillaries including alternator, distributor, coil, starter motor, fuel pump, clutch master cylinder and brake master cylinders are all new. The wiring has even been replaced with new and the clocks refurbished. The wheels, tyres and exhaust system is also new. The interior has been refurbished by Newton Commercial with new seat covers, door cards, dash cards, carpets and roof lining. The attention to detail and quality of the end result is a credit to its past owner who sold this mini to fund his MK 1 Mini Cooper restoration. Due to the time of year the mini has only covered around 30 miles since completion and still requires running in. It drives really well pulling smoothly through the gears and stopping effectively with its new brakes. It is now looking for a new owner to enjoy it through the Spring and Summer. There are few cars which will make people smile more than this stunning yellow mini. Free delivery to your door in my curtain sided van within 200 miles of Tiverton. Coming Soon.
