1969 Austin Mini Cooper 998 in original Snow-berry white with a black roof. This mini has been subject to a full nut and bolt restoration. The previous mature owner has been brought up with minis and has his own workshop, ramp and decades of experience. He has dismantled and reassembled the cars himself. Once dismantled the body shell was sent off for a full restoration at a cost of £8700. It is lovely to look underneath to see the immaculate cream paint work and correct 4 vent sills. The engine and all mechanical parts where also sent off and reconditioned and then all of the parts where fitted back to the shell. The interior has been refurbished with the help of Newton Commercial and it has a very attractive wooden steering wheel which feels really nice when on the road. It has genuine refurbished 4.5 inch Cooper S steal drilled wheels with new Yokohama A008 tyres. I have an extensive history file showing all previous owners and bills for all of the work as well as a Heritage certificate showing matching numbers and colours. It still has its original front body FE number and commission number. With in the history file there are pictures of the car in 1969 on holiday in Cornwall with its first owners leather suitcases strapped onto the roof rack!! The ride is nice and smooth due to still having its original hydro elastic suspension. It has only covered around 80 miles since restoration so is still being run in. There are very few remaining cars of this quality and originality remaining and this would make a very enjoyable and exciting future investment.
