** DEPOSIT PAID ** 1973 Austin Mini 1275 in black with part leather interior trim. This mini has been owned by the same family for the last 31 years. During this time it was restored and received a newer 1990s body shell which is very solid and sound. It also would have had a 998 cc engine but this has been updated to a 1275 cc engine from a Mini Metro. The end result is a period early 70s tax exempt car with a newer shell and newer more modern engine making it more comfortable at modern driving speeds. It has 10 inch wheels on new Yokohama A008 tyres which makes it corner very well. The body is in great condition with solid sills and floors and it has a very shiny coat of black paint. Due to the paint shop I use having a back log of work I am offering this mini at an attractive price with some minor cosmetic touch-ins which do not effect the overall look of the car and can be rectified over time. These I have photographed for you to see. Free delivery to your door in my enclosed van within 200 miles of Tiverton.

1975 Morris Mini 1275 GT in very rare Citron yellow / green with black interior trim. The condition of the body on this 44 year old mini is mind blowing. It has been fully restored but items like the floor pans are original and the condition prior to restoration was good, but showing its age. It drives wonderfully and is very responsive due to the twin carburettor set up which makes it pull very strongly through the gears. It stops using 7.5 inch Cooper S brakes at the front and Minifins at the rear. The road holding has also been improved with wider Minilite wheels on sticky Yokohama tyres which also look great. It starts very well when cold and is light and easy to drive while having all of the charm of a 70s fast mini. When you lift the carpets and look in the boot it looks better than when they were new and the external paint finish is outstanding. This very rare Citron yellow 1275 GT is a real head turning and would make a wonderful show car. Free delivery to your door in my curtain sided van within 200 miles of Tiverton.

1990 Rover Mini Cooper RSP S Pack in red with a white roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. The RSP (Rover Special Product) was made by John Cooper to reintroduce the mini Cooper back into production. From 1971 1990 the mini Cooper was not made and the only available cars were 998cc minis. John Cooper fitted a Metro 1275cc engine to a Mini 30 plus added some Cooper touches like bonnet stripes, white roof, and Minilite alloy wheels and 1050 were produced for the UK market. Due to the success of this car the mini Cooper then sold for an additional 10 years until the new BMW mini was made. John Cooper also gave the option of the S Pack which made the RSP into a Cooper S with an improved Cooper cylinder head (blue), exhaust manifold / exhaust, twin 1.25 SU carburettors and an oil cooler. This conversion made the RSP very exciting but was an expensive option so only a few where ever made. He also offered a Handling Pack which consisted of wider 165 performance tyres, 5 mm wheel spacers and Koni shock absorbers which is also fitted to this car. It also has twin fuel tanks, rear anti roll bar and quick shift gear change all fitted by John Cooper Garages with an invoice for all the work in the very comprehensive history file. I also have the original conversion certificate signed by John Cooper. The history file also has every past MOT to support the mileage of 44700 miles in the last 29 years. It was bought on under 200 miles by its past owner who has enjoyed it for the last 28 years. The car was waxoiled from new which has kept the car in fantastic, original condition. This really is a very rare and special opportunity to own a piece of mini Cooper history and should give its new owner an exciting and very enjoyable driving experience and long term investment. Free delivery to your door in my curtain sided van with in 200 miles of South Molton.

1972 Austin Mini Cooper 1275 S Downton Touring in Teal blue. This mini was bought by Philip Splett in 1973 and he has owned it for 46 years. Philip has helped to run the Mini Cooper Register for the last 35 years including being chairman. His passion for Minis lead to him owning many over the years but he always kept 3 right up to the stage where he is no longer able to comfortably drive them. He has driven the minis all over Europe and can now think back over the great times he has had driving them. This mini was delivered to Downton Engineering when on 113 miles. Downton then completely stripped the engine and rebuilt it to their standards balancing all parts as necessary. New Hs4 twin carburettors where fitted onto the Downton stage 3 cylinder head which breathed through a new modified exhaust system. The gearbox was modified by adding a central oil pick up and the flywheel was lightened. The end result was a smooth, refined, free revving engine which has now covered 50600 miles and is running wonderfully. I have all of the original Downton paperwork for the conversion to this mini. When Philip bought the car he changed the wheels to 6 by 10 Minilites with Special Tuning arches, had the suspension changed to dry with shock absorbers which was all carried out by Jon Mowatt in the 70s. The car has featured in lots of books including Jeremy Waltons Guide to the Cooper. There is a road test report of the car by Michael Bowler (ex Jaguar racing driver) and another full test drive report by John Surtees (ex F1 driver). It is the 5th to last MK 3 Cooper S ever made and Philip assures me that it is all original including the paint which after 47 years is remarkable. I do have all of the past MOTs from new as well as a fascinating history file of paperwork, magazines and photographs taken over the last 46 years. There is also a wonderful Dion Pears painting of the car which is very large and impressive and adds to this remarkable package. The original Lime Flower interior is very clean and the original carpets still look good today. The Wabasto Sunroof was fitted by Popperwells in the 70s and works very well and is in immaculate condition. The car was ordered from new with a Silent Travel Kit which was a factory option and fully insulates the interior which is still there under the carpets and in the boot. This is a once in a life time opportunity to buy a very well known Downton Cooper S from a well known owner who has cared for the car for 46 years, which is in original condition and has a remarkable history file. Free delivery to your door in my curtain sided van within 200 miles of South Molton. This mini is very hard to price due to its unique nature so is being offered with a guide price of £40,000 - £50,000 offers welcomed.
